User manual
Argos is Neural Thinkers Lab's management platform for law firms. Today it tracks the firm's cases, shows the calendar of hearings, meetings and deadlines, extracts text from digitized documents, and manages the contracted plan.
This manual covers what the system does today, in the order you'd use it. Much of what shows up in the menu is still demonstration content, and the Screens that are still a demo section states exactly which ones. For the detail of every screen and every field, see the full manual.
How to sign in
- Open
argos.ntlabs.dev. On the homepage, the Entrar no Sistema (Enter the System) button takes you to the sign-in screen, which opens with Bem-vindo de volta (Welcome back). - Choose one of three paths:
- External account: Google, Facebook, GitHub, LinkedIn, Banco do Brasil or Microsoft.
- Passwordless: Código WhatsApp (WhatsApp code) sends a six-digit code to the phone number you enter (with country code), and Link por email (Email link) sends a link to your inbox. The email link only works for someone who already has an account.
- Email and password: click Continuar com email (Continue with email), fill in Email and Senha (Password), and confirm with Entrar (Sign in).
- Once signed in, you land on Início (Home). If you had tried to open another screen before signing in, Argos sends you back to it.
Forgot your password? The Esqueci a senha (Forgot password) link on the
sign-in screen doesn't open the right screen today. Go straight to
argos.ntlabs.dev/auth/forgot-password, enter your email under Recuperar
senha (Recover password) and click Enviar instruções (Send
instructions).
The sign-in screen doesn't offer account creation. If you don't have access yet, ask whoever manages the firm's account.
Who uses the system
Below your name, at the bottom of the side bar, Argos shows Administrador (Administrator) or Operador (Operator). That's where you check which profile you signed in with.
The profile today only separates one thing: the platform's admin area, at
/admin, which requires the administrator profile. Every firm screen, under
/sistema, opens for any authenticated person.
The cases and appointments you see are the ones for the firm linked to your account. That filter is applied on the server, not in the browser.
The workspace
The side bar carries, in this order: Início (Home), Dashboard, the
Atendimento (Service) group (Balcão Digital/Digital Front Desk,
Agenda/Calendar, WhatsApp, Pedidos CRC), the Documentos
(Documents) group (Certidões/Certificates, Pedidos/Requests,
Digitalizador/Scanner, Validador de Assinaturas/Signature Validator,
Protocolos/Protocols), the Gestão (Management) group
(Clientes/Clients, Financeiro/Finance, Relatórios/Reports),
Operacional (Operations), Configurações (Settings) and Ajuda
(Help). Ctrl+B on Windows and Linux, Cmd+B on Mac, collapses and expands
the bar.
At the top of the screen sit the notification bell, the accessibility menu, and the button that toggles between light and dark mode.
Processos (Cases) isn't in the side bar. It's the system's most complete screen and you reach it through three paths: the Processos card on the Dashboard, the command search, or the bottom bar on a phone.
Command search
Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux, Cmd+K on Mac, opens command search across the
system's screens. It navigates to Início, Dashboard, Processos,
Agenda, Clientes, Digitalizador and Financeiro, toggles
between Modo Claro (Light mode) and Modo Escuro (Dark mode), and signs
you out under Sair (Sign out). Whoever holds the administrator profile
also sees the Administração (Administration) group.
The Buscar processos, clientes... (Search cases, clients...) box shown at the top of the screen doesn't open anything when you click it. Use the keyboard shortcut.
Início (Home)
Início is the entry point. It brings a greeting with your name, the Ações Rápidas (Quick Actions) row and the Módulos do Sistema (System Modules) grid, the shortest path to the rest.
Not every card on this screen has a working destination: Balcão Digital doesn't open any screen. The Pedidos Pendentes (Pending Requests) notice, with a count of requests awaiting approval, is fixed screen text and doesn't count anything.
Dashboard and your shortcuts
The Dashboard is the only screen you build your own way. It shows the Seus atalhos (Your shortcuts) row with the modules you've pinned, and Mais módulos (More modules) opens the rest.
Hover over a card and use the pin: Fixar (Pin) puts the module in Seus atalhos, Desafixar (Unpin) removes it. The choice is saved to your account, not to the browser, so it follows you to any computer.
Four shortcuts come pinned by default, and one of them, Balcão Digital, doesn't open any screen. Unpin that one.
Processos (Cases)
This is where the system's real work happens. The screen opens with four summary cards: Total, Monitorados (Monitored), Ativos (Active) and Valor Total (Total value).
To find a case:
- The search field filters by client name. The placeholder text suggests the CNJ case number also works, but it doesn't: search by client.
- Next to it, the status selector filters by Ativo (Active), Suspenso (Suspended), Arquivado (Archived) or Baixado (Closed). Todos os status (All statuses) clears the filter.
- The list paginates twenty at a time, with Anterior (Previous) and Próxima (Next), and the Mostrando (Showing) line tells you where you are in the total.
Each case carries the number, the Tribunal (Court), the Vara (Division), the Comarca (District), the Cliente (Client), the Valor (Value), the date it was Ajuizado (Filed) and when it was last Atualizado (Updated). Whoever is under monitoring carries the Monitorado (Monitored) badge.
Two actions work on the list:
- The monitoring button toggles case monitoring on and off. The button itself states what it will do: Ativar monitoramento (Enable monitoring) or Desativar monitoramento (Disable monitoring).
- The remove button takes the case out of monitoring. The system asks for confirmation first.
Novo Processo (New Case) doesn't open a form today. Adding a case is done outside the browser, through the Argos API, with whoever handles the firm's technical side.
Atualizar (Refresh) reloads the list and the summary cards.
Agenda (Calendar)
Agenda shows the full month. The arrows next to the month name move forward and back, and each day with an appointment carries an abbreviated count. Click a day to see its list next to it.
The four cards at the top add up Hoje (Today), Esta Semana (This week), Total and Confirmados (Confirmed).
Each appointment shows up with its type (Audiência/Hearing, Reunião/Meeting, Prazo/Deadline, Diligência/Legal errand or Outro/Other), the time, duration in minutes, and status (Agendado/Scheduled, Confirmado/Confirmed, Cancelado/Cancelled, Concluído/Completed or Reagendado/Rescheduled).
The Calendar is read-only. Atualizar (Refresh) reloads the month, but Novo Agendamento (New Appointment) doesn't open anything: booking and changing appointments is done through the API, same as registering a case.
Financeiro (Finance)
Fluxo Financeiro (Financial Flow) consolidates the same cases from another angle: the Valor Total em Causa (Total value at stake), how many are Ativos (Active), how many are Suspensos / Pendentes (Suspended / Pending), how many are Arquivados / Baixados (Archived / Closed), and the value breakdown under Valor por Tribunal (Value by court).
There's no revenue, expense or billing on this screen, despite the name. Atualizar (Refresh) reloads the numbers. The period, filter, report and export buttons next to it don't do anything yet.
Digitalizador (Scanner)
The Digitalizador (Scanner) extracts text from a document image. It's useful today, with one important condition: everything happens inside your browser and nothing is saved.
- Click Iniciar Digitalização (Start Digitizing).
- Choose Câmera (Camera) to photograph on the spot, or Arquivo (File) to upload an image you already have. The Scanner USB (USB Scanner) option shows up as Não detectado (Not detected) and stays unavailable.
- Wait for the read. Recognition runs in Portuguese, on your own computer, and the progress bar shows real progress.
- The Revisar Documento Digitalizado (Review Digitized Document) screen opens with the image on one side and the extracted text on the other, next to the recognized document type and the confidence level of the reading. Correct the text before confirming.
Once confirmed, the document enters the screen's list. Open it via the eye
icon to read the full text, use Copiar (Copy) to take the text to another
program, or use the download icon to save a .txt file.
Two things you can count on: no image leaves your computer, and nothing gets saved. Reloading the page returns the list to its initial state, with the two sample documents that already come in it. Copy or download the text before leaving. The Estatísticas do Dia (Today's Statistics) card also shows sample numbers, not your actual count.
For the reading to work better: a well-lit photo, an aligned document, no shadow and no fold. Same care as photographing a document for anything else.
Assinatura (Subscription)
Plano & Assinatura (Plan & Subscription) shows the Plano Atual (Current Plan), its status and how long it lasts. The Mensal (Monthly) and Anual (Annual) selector switches the billing cycle, and each plan lists what it includes.
To switch, click Assinar (Subscribe) on the plan you want. Argos generates a PIX charge on the spot, with a QR code and a Copia e Cola (Copy and Paste) code, which you copy through the Copiar (Copy) button. Payment confirmation is automatic.
Plans and prices come from the platform and change over time, so this screen is the only source you can trust about what you have contracted today.
Your account and your settings
Configurações (Settings), in the side bar and in your name's menu, doesn't open a panel inside Argos. It notes that your settings now live in Neural Thinkers Lab's account hub and takes you there in a few seconds. The Ir para minha conta (Go to my account) button does the same instantly. That hub is where your profile, password and access data live.
To sign out, open your name's menu at the bottom of the side bar and click Sair (Sign out).
Screens that are still a demo
These screens open, but what shows up in them is sample content inherited from a notary-office system. They don't read from or write to your firm's data, and the create, export and generate buttons don't do anything:
Certidões (Certificates), Pedidos (Requests), Pedidos CRC, Protocolos (Protocols), Validador de Assinaturas (Signature Validator), Relatórios (Reports), Operacional (Operations), Gestão (Management, and the Financeira and Tributário screens inside it) and WhatsApp. Balcão Digital (Digital Front Desk) doesn't even open.
Clientes (Clients) deserves a separate warning. The list shows three sample clients, and the Novo Cliente (New Client) form genuinely validates CPF and CNPJ and looks up the address by postal code, but what you save there stays only in your browser and doesn't show up in the list afterwards. Don't use this screen as the firm's actual client registry.
None of what's on these screens should factor into a decision, a bill, or a document that leaves the firm.
Ajuda (Help)
The Ajuda (Help) screen still carries another system's content, with questions about certificates and archive digitization, and the contacts shown under the Suporte (Support) tab aren't Neural Thinkers Lab's. Ignore what's there, phone numbers and email included, and reach whoever manages your firm's account. This manual and the full manual are the reference for Argos.
Accessibility
The accessibility menu, on the top bar, brings three adjustments:
- Tamanho do Texto (Text size), from Very Small to Extra Large.
- Alto Contraste (High contrast), for reading on a poor screen or under sunlight.
- VLibras (Libras), the Brazilian Sign Language translator.
The Tab key at the start of the page reveals Pular para o conteúdo
principal (Skip to main content), which jumps past navigation straight to
the content. The button next to the accessibility menu toggles between light
and dark mode.
If the connection drops, Argos warns you that you're offline instead of showing a blank screen, and offers Tentar Novamente (Try again).
Your data
Argos handles case and client data, protected by professional secrecy. What
you see is filtered by the firm linked to your account, and processing
follows the LGPD. The terms, the privacy policy and the data protection
officer's channel live at www.ntlabs.dev.
